Aubrey Levi Todd
1897-1902
Profile/Bio
Aubrey Levi was born in 1897 to parents, Levi and Etta Todd in California. His uncle (father's brother) went to Cuba and saw great opportunity there in a manganese mining company. Levi went down and a few months later, sent for his family in 1900. After two years, the manganese mine folded, and Aubry died.
Levi sent his wife and two surviving sons home to her parents in Oregon. Then, Levi was stricken with yellow fever, which left him totally deaf and a semi-invalid. There was difficulty with getting Aubrey's body back to the States, not just funds, but paperwork. inally in 1904, his father returned to Sutter, California, bringing the body of his son, Aubrey, which he interred in the family plot in Sutter. There was a tombstone erected for him and Clarrisa White Rarrick Varnumn's son, Augustus. (half brother of Harriet & Sarah)
